Set in a lofty private property on the hills of Buderim, it wasn’t difficult to work with the existing charm of Mulumba Estate – a stunning Hamptons-inspired property perfectly manicured gardens, sweeping views of the ocean, surrounded by lavender and breathtaking view of the Glasshouse Mountains.
This gorgeous event saw us keeping the styling in line with this Hamptons feel – crisp whites; fresh greenery; and accents of grey, navy blues and hints of gold and blush pink. Vintage nautical influences were felt throughout the styling and resonated a nostalgic feeling of a bygone era.
Our breath was pretty much taken away when the afternoon sun washed over the cocktail area, where white wicker lounges topped with navy cushions and a touch of blush pink offered a relaxing yet luxe space to sip and chat. The stand alone bar area mimicked this with its blush pink inspired array of cocktails and personalised barmaid.
But before we could indulge in pink margaritas we had to take stock of how beautiful the bride looked, framed by a crisp white ceremonial arbour adorned with a timeless selection of hydrangeas and roses in hues of dusty blue, blush pink and white - the cake dressed in the same dreamy florals.
For the sit-down setting, white hampton chairs were paired with white table cloths and gold plated cutlery and crockery exuded a sense of old school timelessness. The vintage glassware was the perfect accessory against the simple, unstructured flower arrangements of hydrangeas and roses. And the gold beaded plate holders and cutlery added that perfect touch of sophistication.
Thinking it couldn’t get any more beautiful, the entire Splash Events team felt their hearts flutter when we turned on the canopy of lights blanketing over the seating area. Under these sparkling strings of fairy lights, no other decorative fanfare was necessary. Classic, timeless, and beautiful.
